I teach English with a focus on conversations. You don’t need to be fluent, but our classes will cover various topics (daily life, hobbies, current events etc.), all in English because I believe that’s the best way to learn. If you’d like, we can also include some writing and reading activities as homework to discuss in our next session. In our sessions, my main goal will be to help you improve your speaking skills, so you can feel confident and fluent.
What our first lesson can look like:
- Introduction (0-10 min): We'll start by introducing ourselves, getting to know each other.
- Goals (10-20 min): We’ll talk about some personal goals you’d like to set for our sessions.
- Hobbies (20-35 min): We’ll find something interesting from our introductions to discuss together, such as hobbies or career.
- Current Events (35-45 min): I might bring up a current event happening in Brazil, the USA, or globally for us to talk about.
- Questions/Comments/Homework (45-60 min): Feel free to ask any questions or request translations from Portuguese to English at any point during the lesson. If I haven’t already answered a question, this is a good time to ask. You can also share what you'd like to focus on in future lessons. I may assign a short homework task, such as reading an article on a topic I think you'll enjoy, to discuss in the next class. Additionally, I may ask you to write a brief paragraph about the article, and we can review any structural or spelling mistakes during the next session.
