Hey there! I'm Amanda.
I've always been fascinated by communication and the way language connects people from different cultures and backgrounds. That's one of the reasons I became both an English teacher and a journalist.
I'm naturally curious and love getting to know new people, hearing their stories, and learning about different perspectives. Teaching gives me the opportunity to do exactly that while helping others achieve their goals.
When I'm not teaching, you'll probably find me planning my next trip, trying a new recipe, or reading an Agatha Christie novel. I also love discovering new cafés, watching documentaries, and finding little details that most people would probably miss, that's the journalist in me.

I believe the best way to learn a language is by using it. That's why my lessons are based on the Communicative Approach, where you'll actively speak, listen, and interact in English from the very beginning.
Every lesson is personalised to your goals, whether you're preparing for IELTS Academic or General Training, the ICAO English Language Proficiency Test, studying abroad, or simply looking to become a more confident English speaker. We'll focus on practical communication through real-life situations, authentic materials, and meaningful conversations, while also developing your vocabulary, pronunciation, fluency, and accuracy.
If you're preparing for IELTS, I'll help you understand what examiners are looking for, especially in the Speaking and Writing sections. My professional training in the IELTS assessment criteria through IDP Australia and the British Council allows me to provide targeted feedback and effective exam strategies.
My lessons are suitable for teenagers and adults from intermediate to advanced levels (A2–C1), especially learners who already understand English but struggle to speak confidently.
Whether you're learning English for work, travel, university, or personal growth, my goal is to create a supportive environment where you'll feel comfortable making mistakes, asking questions, and making steady progress at your own pace.
