Sobre Erika
I am a Portuguese Language Teacher and Educational Specialist with over 20 years of dedicated experience in Education. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of teaching and mentoring more than 1,000 students across Primary, Secondary, and Adult Education.
My passion for language and teaching has led me to build a solid and diverse academic and professional journey: *Academic Background: Degree in Languages (Portuguese/English) and Pedagogy, with a Postgraduate Degree and an MBA in Educational Management from the prestigious University of São Paulo (USP).
*Current Specialization: I am currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Portuguese as a Foreign/Second Language (PLNM) at Universidade Aberta, in Portugal.
*Practical Experience: I worked for two decades in Brazil as a Teacher and Pedagogical Coordinator.
*Writing & Publishing: I am a published author in Portugal (children's literature and poetry), as well as an author of academic research articles in the field of education.
I believe in a human-centered, rigorous, and welcoming approach to education where the student is at the heart of the learning process. My goal is not only to teach grammar or prepare students for exams, but to help them build confidence, independence, and a genuine appreciation for the Portuguese language.
