Sobre Octavie

Bonjour ! I'm Octavie, a 20-year-old French university student currently studying European Law at Universidade Católica Portuguesa in Lisbon.

French is my native language, and I'm passionate about sharing my language and culture with others!

I have two years of experience as a private tutor, as well as two years of volunteering in educational support for middle and high school students. I've helped students prepare for the French Brevet and Baccalauréat, particularly in French language, literature and writing.

These experiences have taught me how to adapt to different personalities, learning styles and levels. I understand that everyone learns differently, and I always make sure my students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and progressing at their own pace.

I'm patient, approachable and enthusiastic, and I genuinely enjoy helping others discover the French language. Whether you're a complete beginner, a student preparing for an exam or an adult looking to improve your French, I'll be happy to support you!

My goal is to make you feel confident, enjoy the learning process and, most importantly, fall in love with the French language!

Learning French should be an exciting journey, not just a collection of grammar rules! As a native French speaker, I love sharing my language and culture while helping students gain confidence and make real progress.

My teaching approach is based on repetition, curiosity and practice. Each lesson introduces new vocabulary, grammar or language skills while revisiting what we have already learned. I believe that regular repetition is essential to building strong foundations and remembering things in the long term.

I also love making lessons more personal and enjoyable by using materials that reflect each student's interests. Films , music , books , history and everyday situations can all become great learning tools! My goal is to help students discover French beyond textbooks and understand how the language is actually used in everyday life.

Speaking is also a big part of my lessons. Through conversations, role-playing and interactive exercises, I encourage students to express themselves, improve their pronunciation and become more comfortable speaking French. Mistakes are welcome – they are an essential part of learning!

I have two years of experience as a private tutor and two years of volunteering in educational support for middle and high school students. I have helped students prepare for the French Brevet and Baccalauréat, particularly in French language and literature.

My lessons are suitable for:
- Beginners discovering French for the first time.
- Children and teenagers who need school support.
- Students preparing for the French Brevet or Baccalauréat.
- Foreign students learning French as a foreign language (FLE).
- Adults who want to improve their speaking, writing or everyday French.
- Intermediate and advanced learners looking to become more fluent.

Whether you want to learn French from scratch, improve your grades, prepare for an exam or simply feel more confident speaking with native speakers, I'll adapt every lesson to your needs and goals.

My aim is to make French accessible, stimulating and enjoyable, while helping you progress at your own pace!
