Sobre Alexandrina
Teaching is something I genuinely enjoy, and I bring that broad perspective into everything I do. I believe learning should be interesting, engaging, and connected to the real world — not simply about memorising information.
As a Portuguese teacher, I offer students the opportunity to develop their language skills while drawing on my wider academic background and experience. For me, Portuguese is not simply a language to learn; it is a way to connect with people, culture, history, and the wider Portuguese-speaking world.
After more than two decades in education, my aim remains the same: to help people learn, think, and see the world from a broader perspective.

Learn Portuguese. Understand the World.
Looking for more than a conventional Portuguese language teacher?
I’m a PhD with 20+ years of teaching experience, with an academic background spanning economics, political science, international relations, and other social sciences.
My Portuguese lessons go beyond vocabulary and grammar. I combine language learning with culture, history, politics, economics, current affairs, and global awareness — helping students not only speak Portuguese, but understand the world in which the language is spoken.
Whether you are learning Portuguese for life, travel, business, academic interests, or personal enrichment, lessons can be tailored to your goals and level.
Learn the language. Understand the people. See the bigger picture.
Message me to discuss lessons and your learning goals.
