Hi there! I'm Hugo from Lisbon, Portugal.
I lived abroad for most of my youth, which naturally turned English into a second native language for me. I’ve also spent years working as a freelance translator, so I know exactly how to bridge the gap between languages and help others communicate smoothly.

My teaching experience is rooted in real-life immersion. Having lived abroad from a very young age, I learned English naturally by speaking it daily in diverse, real-world settings. This background gives me a native-level grasp of the language and a deep understanding of how people actually speak, rather than just how textbooks say they should.
My expertise lies in Conversational English, Fluency, and Everyday Vocabulary.
My Teaching Methodology:
I believe the best way to learn a language is to use it. My sessions are designed to feel like a comfortable chat with a friend, entirely tailored to your interests, hobbies, or career goals. Here is what our lessons will look like:
Natural Conversations: We will discuss topics you care about—like current events, culture, travel, or your daily life—to help you build a vocabulary that you will actually use.
Intuitive Corrections: Instead of stopping you mid-sentence to drill grammar rules, I provide gentle, real-time feedback on pronunciation and phrasing so your conversation flows naturally.
Confidence Building: My priority is to create a relaxed, judgment-free zone where you can make mistakes, try out new phrases, and overcome the fear of speaking.
