Depending on the level of English, I would begin with a warm up exercise testing them on basic words with a flash card game and introducing a new topic for the lesson for example Animals. I would then get the student comfortable with the pronunciation of the words as well as making sure they understand the meaning by asking questions that are not just “Do you understand “. We would then continue with a fun exercise such as match the pairs of names of animals to pictures. We would end with a cooler to conclude the lesson and I would give the student homework to practice what was learnt.
