Sobre Cláudia
Hello! My name is Cláudia, and I’m from Porto, Portugal!
I hold an MA in Specialised Translation and Interpreting and have experience in language education, translation, and interpreting in multicultural and international contexts, including in Japan, where I studied and worked as a Portuguese Language Assistant.
I am also involved in projects and academic initiatives related to Portuguese as a Foreign Language at my university, having collaborated in conferences, workshops, and activities connected to language learning, intercultural communication, and social integration.
My teaching approach is flexible, practical, and student-centered. I believe language learning should help people feel more confident and independent in their everyday lives, whether for work, study, travel, or social integration.
I am particularly interested in how digital tools, artificial intelligence, and machine translation can support language learning and help migrants and international students better navigate life in a new country.
My classes are adapted to each student’s goals and learning style, with a focus on communication, cultural understanding, and real-life situations.

My Portuguese as a Foreign Language classes are fully tailored to each student’s goals, interests, and learning pace. I follow a flexible and practical approach focused on real-life communication, cultural integration, and building confidence in everyday situations, especially for people living, studying, and/or working in Portugal.
Beyond traditional language learning, I am currently conducting research in the field of artificial intelligence and machine translation as tools for language acquisition and social integration. My goal is not only to teach European Portuguese, but also to help migrants and international students navigate daily life, professional environments, and Portuguese society with greater confidence, independence, and access to the digital tools available to support communication and integration.
Classes may include conversation, grammar, listening and reading comprehension, vocabulary development, and support for academic or professional contexts. I also integrate digital tools and interactive resources whenever useful to support the learning process.
I hold an MA in Specialised Translation and Interpreting, with a strong interest in language education, intercultural communication, and language accessibility.
Classes are available for different levels, from beginners to advanced learners wishing to improve their fluency and confidence in European Portuguese.
