Sobre Carla
I’m a native Portuguese teacher and a qualified English teacher with a degree in English and Portuguese as Second Languages and a Master’s Degree in Applied Linguistics. I studied in Portugal and lived in Liverpool, England, for 12 years, where I taught Portuguese and English to foreign learners in private schools and within immigrant communities. Today, back in Portugal, I run my own English institute, where I prepare students for Cambridge English exams, and I also teach Portuguese and English at Escola Profissional do Alto Minho Interior.

Teaching is much more than a profession to me — it is my passion. I love meeting people from different cultures and backgrounds, and I believe that every student brings a unique story and learning journey. That is why my lessons are tailor-made to each student’s goals, needs and level, combining professionalism and experience with a relaxed, engaging and sometimes humorous approach. My aim is to help my students feel confident, make real progress and, most importantly, enjoy the process of learning a language.
