Sobre Inês Beatriz
My musical journey began at the age of eight, and then I continued my studies at the Calouste Gulbenkian Music Conservatory in Braga. I hold a degree in Cello Performance from the School of Music and Performing Arts (ESMAE) in Porto.
I furthered my training in cello and music through various masterclasses and festivals in Portugal, Germany, Sweden, and Denmark. During my studies, I was a member of several academic orchestras, performing in Portugal, Spain, Germany, China, Denmark, and Iceland.
I later developed a passion for teaching, having taught cello at various academies and conservatories, such as the Calouste Gulbenkian Music Conservatory in Braga, the Barcelos Music Conservatory, and the Costa Cabral Music Academy. I continuously enhance my pedagogical skills by participating in courses organized by institutions such as ESTA (European String Teachers Association).
I also have experience teaching musical expression classes for preschoolers, as well as introductory music classes for primary school children and beginner classes for adults.
I work as a freelance cellist, regularly collaborating with national orchestras, participating in chamber music concerts and multidisciplinary projects.

I’m a dynamic and multidisciplinary teacher passionate about cello and music pedagogy. I have six years of professional experience teaching in specialized music academies and conservatories, and I also teach in private and non-formal music schools. I’m trained in both the Suzuki Method and ABRSM cello curriculum.
In my cello and theory music lessons, the focus is always on the student and their specific goals. I have experience with students of all ages, whether they are beginners or have prior training.
