Sobre George
I'm self-employed and currently based between Coimbra and Aveiro — a good fit for me, since I like traveling and meeting people from different cultures, and this part of Portugal has no shortage of that, with international students coming through constantly.
I don't teach Spanish from a textbook mindset. For me it's a natural extension of what I already enjoy: talking to people, learning how they see things, and helping them get comfortable in a new language. I'm easygoing and genuinely interested in my students — where they're from, why they're learning Spanish, what they want to get out of it.
My lessons are relaxed and straightforward — I want you to feel free to make mistakes, ask "obvious" questions, and move at your own pace without feeling judged. If you're after someone approachable who treats lessons more like a solid conversation than a formal class, we'll get along fine.

About your lessons
My lessons are relaxed, practical, and built around real conversation — not memorizing endless grammar rules from a textbook. I work best with beginners and Erasmus students who want to actually use Spanish in daily life: ordering food, chatting with classmates, understanding what's going on around them, and gaining the confidence to speak without freezing up.
Each lesson is adapted to what you need that day. We might work on basic grammar and vocabulary one session, and just have a relaxed conversation in Spanish the next — whatever helps you progress and feel more comfortable. I like to keep things light and encouraging: no pressure, no surprise tests, just steady progress at your own pace.
Lessons can be in person in Coimbra or Aveiro, or online via video call — whichever works better for you. I'm flexible with scheduling and happy to adjust the pace or focus as we go, depending on what you're struggling with or curious about.
If you're just starting out with Spanish or want a friendly, no-judgment space to practice, I'd love to help.
