Sobre Amanda

I use the methodology "Flipped Classroom", in which the content (vocabulary, grammar and expressions) is studied by the students at home, with the guidance of the teacher, who provides the materials and gives suggestions of where to find out more information. Then, in the class, the students will practice this content previously studied by doing activities, asking the teacher questions, interacting, watching videos, reading and writing texts, and many others. I believe this methodology is the best one for learning, because content, nowadays, is easily found on the internet, so the teachers are, now, the ones who guide and practice with their groups.
If you want to know better, check out this video on Youtube:

"The Flipped Classroom Model"

For more information of where the materials will be disponible and how to study the content by yourself to take the doubts to the teacher, schedule your zero class!

Sobre a aula

After four years of experience in classrooms, I have seen that by teaching only grammar, without practicing and contextualizing, does not help the students to achieve the communicative skills they expect, what make them feel insecure when it's necessary to put in practice the content there has been studied for years in a course. For that reason, I work from the basic to the advanced level based on my students' interests and personal goals with the language they're learning, in order to help them effectively to reach it. The classes are online and personalized, groups of students pay less. The zero class is the moment where I get to know the student by asking questions and giving a preview of how the future classes are going to be. The classes can be ministrated in Portuguese, English or Spanish, but the other languages will be used only in emergencial cases, because the student has to be in touch with the foreign language as much as possible.
I worked as a Portuguese teacher for two years and a half, and two other with English teaching. I'm graduated in letters and I'm also a Celpe-Bras proficiency exam evaluator, with four years experience.
