Sobre Amos
Hi, I'm Amos! I'm a Brit from England and have recently moved to Portugal with my Portuguese wife. Being from the UK, I love living here especially for the sun, but I also love the food, people and lifestyle here.
I decided to teach English because of my own experience learning Portuguese. I have loved the process of learning a new language, and it has given me a lot of empathy for language learners and excitement to help others learn a language. I hold a Level 5 teaching certificate from the TEFL Academy and have over two years of professional teaching experience.
My expertise is in helping students from absolute beginners up to upper-intermediate levels, focusing on everyday English and exam preparation. I always celebrate my students' progress—because I know firsthand how hard it is to learn a new language—and I give honest, constructive feedback so that mistakes become opportunities for growth.
I can't wait to help you on your own English-learning journey.
Olá, sou o Amos! Sou britânico e recentemente mudei-me para Portugal com a minha esposa portuguesa. Sendo inglês, adoro viver aqui, especialmente pelo sol, mas também pela comida, pelas pessoas e pelo estilo de vida.
Decidi ensinar inglês por causa da minha própria experiência a aprender português. Tenho adorado o processo de aprender uma nova língua, e isso deu-me muita empatia por quem está a aprender e entusiasmo por ajudar os outros a desenvolverem as suas competências linguísticas. Possuo o certificado de nível 5 da TEFL Academy e mais de dois anos de experiência profissional a ensinar.
A minha especialidade é ajudar alunos desde iniciantes até níveis intermédios-altos, com foco no inglês do dia a dia e na preparação para exames. Celebro sempre o progresso dos meus alunos — porque sei, por experiência própria, como é desafiante aprender uma nova língua — e dou feedback honesto e construtivo, de forma a que os erros se tornem oportunidades de crescimento.

As a native British teacher living in Portugal, I’m also learning Portuguese myself. This means I understand the challenges of learning a new language—and I use that experience to support and motivate my students.

Como britânico nativo a viver em Portugal, também estou a aprender português, por isso compreendo os desafios de aprender uma nova língua. Uso essa experiência para apoiar e motivar os meus alunos, ajudando-os a progredir de forma consistente e confiante.
