I am a grade 1 surf instructor from ASI, I have 3 years of experience teaching at surf schools in the Algarve, I have been surfing since I was 12 years old.

A few years ago I came to Portugal and decided to take a leap and do something I’ve always wanted to try. Learning to surf is an incredibly rewarding experience, and it makes all the difference to have someone like Ramon as an instructor. With the surf school, there were a few different instructors, each with different styles; he was by far my favourite. He was energetic with the kind of infectious upbeat enthusiasm necessary for something that’s not altogether that easy to learn. I felt safe in his presence. The way he demonstrated key techniques was easy to follow. He was patient, and his easygoing manner helped me to feel comfortable enough to fail and to get up with grace and carry on - which is key when learning to surf.
Honestly, I had so much fun with Ramon, our little group started to say he was part man part fish because of his ease and precision in the water. He’s a great instructor, but also clearly a lovely person - I think that, for me, both are equally important. Thanks Ramon!

Ich habe bei Ramon als Anfänger das surfen gelernt und kann ihn nur bestens empfehlen, mit viel Ruhe und bester Laune hat Ramon sich intensiv und Geduld um mich gekümmert ihm war nichts zu viel und korrigierte meine Fehler und zeigte mir wie ich es richtig mache, Heute kann ich behaupten das ich durch Ramon sicher auf dem Board stehe und über die Wellen gleite , selbst heute hat er immer noch eine Auge auf mich und gibt mir wertvolle Tipps , wo ich sehr dankbar für bin
