Sobre Aleecia

I taught in and reviewed applications for engineering and computer science Master’s programs at a top-20 US university, reading thousands of statements of purpose alongside transcripts, recommendations and test scores. Having taught these students as well as admitted them, I know what programs are really looking for, who succeeds once they arrive, and how that shows up in an application. I’m now based in Portugal and work with applicants online. I give direct, specific feedback. You’ll know what to change and why. Leia o seu Statement of Purpose como os avaliadores o vão ler — antes deles!

Applying to a US Master’s program in engineering or computer science? I’ll show you how your Statement of Purpose reads to the faculty who decide.

MY APPROACH
I was faculty at a top-20 US university, where I taught in the engineering and computer science Master’s programs and reviewed thousands of their applications. I read your statement the way an admissions reviewer does: quickly at first, then closely, looking for clear goals, real evidence of ability, and a convincing reason why this program fits you. Most applicants make the same handful of mistakes: vague goals, a résumé in paragraph form, a generic “why this program,” and projects described without showing what you actually did. My feedback is direct and specific, so you’ll know exactly what to change and why.

HOW I SUPPORT YOU
(1) Free 20-minute intro call. We go over your target programs, deadlines and background, and I explain how I work. No essay review in this call, but you’re welcome to revise your essay based on our conversation before sending it to me. We’ll also schedule your feedback call while we talk. I’m flexible with call times and can accommodate applicants in the US, Europe, India and China.
(2) Detailed written review. I read your Statement of Purpose and return line-by-line comments plus a summary of the 3–5 changes that matter most, within 5 business days.
(3) 30-minute feedback call. We go through my comments and I answer your questions so you can revise with confidence.
Price: €120 + VAT where applicable for the full package (written review + feedback call), paid upfront.

MY SPECIALIZATION
Graduate admissions for engineering and computer science: MS, MEng and similar programs at US universities.

WHO THIS IS FOR
* Applicants to US Master’s programs in engineering or computer science for Fall 2027
* International applicants writing in English as a second language
* Anyone with a draft ready and a deadline in December or January

WHAT I DON’T DO
I don’t write essays for you, and nobody can guarantee an admission. My job is to make sure your statement says what you mean, in a way faculty reviewers recognize as strong.

Sessions are online, in English.
