I am a certified Portuguese and English teacher with over 15 years of teaching experience in schools, higher education, adult education, and online learning environments.
I hold a degree in **Portuguese and English Studies (Modern Languages and Literatures)** from the **Faculty of Arts and Humanities of the University of Porto**, one of Portugal's most prestigious universities. Throughout my career, I have worked with learners from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds, helping them develop confidence and fluency in Portuguese.
In recent years, I have specialized in teaching **European Portuguese to international students**, supporting expats, professionals, retirees, and citizenship applicants in achieving their language goals. With more than 800 hours of online teaching experience, I understand the challenges adult learners face and adapt my lessons to meet their individual needs.
My goal is to create a supportive, motivating, and effective learning environment where students feel comfortable making progress and using Portuguese in real-life situations from the very beginning.

My teaching approach is practical, communicative, and student-centred. Lessons are tailored to each learner's goals, level, interests, and learning pace. I focus on developing all language skills—speaking, listening, reading, and writing—with a strong emphasis on real-life communication and confidence building.
I specialize in teaching European Portuguese to international learners, including expats, retirees, professionals, and students preparing for residency, citizenship, or the CIPLE A2 exam. I also work with learners who wish to improve their Portuguese for everyday life, travel, work, or personal enrichment.
A typical lesson includes conversation practice, vocabulary development, grammar in context, and activities designed to reinforce what has been learned. I provide structured materials, regular feedback, and personalized support to help students make steady progress.
Lessons are available online for all levels, from complete beginners (A1) to advanced learners (C2). Classes can be individual, for couples, or small groups, and are conducted in English and Portuguese according to the student's needs.
