Sobre Marina
What most inspires me to teach my language to foreigners is the experiences I had living abroad. I could see how being able to use the local language is important for people to truly experience the place they are living in or to communicate with the people they are working with. Being away also made me appreciate my own culture much more, what makes me excited about sharing it with others.
Besides that, I have a BA in Philosophy by UFRJ and in Language and Literature by UERJ. During my second degree, I got two grants to study abroad, first at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, in Greece, and then at York University, in Canada. I also visited many other countries and spent some months in India, Germany and Spain, which helped me to understand better what we really need to know to communicate in another language and in different cultures.

My classes are completely adapted to your needs and interests. After getting to know your level, what you need the language for, your relationship with Brazil and our culture, your job and interests, I plan a course to fit your needs and help you learn and develop your skills in the most effective way.
I use two series of course books, depending on the students' level and preference, and also bring a lot of original material.
You will learn not only the language but also important cultural content that will be useful for your communication.
All levels are welcome!
