Sobre Emilija
I graduated in New Media art in Latvia, developing conceptual and more computer-based art studies.
I moved to Portugal in 2021, and I'm based in Caldas da Rainha, where I have my studio and develop my artistic practice.
Currently, I'm focused on exploring materials and sharing their potential with others, working with ceramics, glass flameworking, and wax experiments in candle form. Also exploring materials and compositions nature can offer us.

Being creative it's about being conscious of your surroundings and space. We have a vision and we want to create it, but there is an important part before the result - process! Discovery of creativity and forms, and how things interact.
We will start with the materials that we have around (home, nature) and make an object on the spot.
Drawing, sketching, coloring, and trying to see where the mind goes, and developing vision.
Concept searching, object use, and experiments.
Clay or other materials are used to reach the goal.
